Results of studying a new method for producing articles from intermetallic compounds of the Al−Ti system are presented. The method consists in the combination of the SHS process and rolling in vacuum. The main technological stages for producing strips from titanium aluminides are developed. The effect of various factors and process parameters on the porosity and microstructure of the material is studied. The process developed makes it possible to produce strips with controlled (from 8 to 65%) porosity.
