Results are presented for a study of the effect of charge material on the sintering capacity and structure of high-temperature superconducting (HTSC) ceramic. Compositions are developed and proved for charge preparation. Use of the material compositions proposed for preparing refractory crucibles and supports provides relatively low refractory cost, and the purity of the HTSC-ceramic obtained has a favorable effect on its superconducting properties.
