The aim of this conference was to offer an opportunity for researchers from all over the world to exchange scientific ideas and to promote the basic and applied aspects of research in hydrothermal and solvothermal technology. The conference was successfully organized by the Institute of Process Engineering, CAS, Jilin University, University of Science and Technology of China and Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, CAS, and attracted more than 250 participants from over 20 countries (including Australia, China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Russia, Singapore, USA, etc.). The conference contains four plenary lectures, 48 keynote lectures, 53 invited lectures, 67 oral presentations and 80 poster presentations. Many distinguished scientists in the field of solvothermal and hydrothermal processes, nanomaterials, porous materials, etc., attended the conference and delivered their lectures.
