The results are presented of a theoretical study of one-port ultrawideband BJT circuits having a temperature-stable, electronically controlled current-voltage characteristic. The circuits are designed to provide negative resistance. The phase angle is examined of the voltage across the terminals relative to the current. Formulae are derived for different expansion terms of the phase angle as functions of current and operating conditions, including temperature. Abstract

The results are presented of a theoretical study of one-port ultrawideband BJT circuits having a temperature-stable, electronically controlled current-voltage characteristic. The circuits are designed to provide negative resistance. The phase angle is examined of the voltage across the terminals relative to the current. Formulae are derived for different expansion terms of the phase angle as functions of current and operating conditions, including temperature. The behavior of the functions is explored and explained.
