Abstract

Indirect electrochemical oxidation of β-naphthol by active oxygen species generated in situ from O2, H2O, and H2O2 in a diaphragmless electrolyzer was studied. The electrolyses were performed in acid and alkaline solutions with the use of gas-diffusion carbon-black and graphite cathodes and Pt, Pb/PbO2 anodes.
