We are deeply sorry for this unintentional oversight, and wish to apologize to the community. The issue is compounded in light of the extraordinary tradition of women scientists in biology and in no area more so than mouse genetics. We hope that future meeting organizers can benefit from our experience, and are reminded that only continued vigilance will prevent such mistakes in the future. Sincerely, Joseph H.
