In 1890, Nikolai Kon stantinovich entered the Natural Department with the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics at Moscow Imperial University, where he specialized in the Chair of Compar ative Anatomy, headed by Prof. M.A. Menzbir, an out standing zoologist. In 1984, Kol’tsov graduated from the university and his diploma work was awarded a degree with firstclass honors and a gold medal.
