Widespread use of azoles has resulted in rapid development of azole resistance in Candida albicans strains. Mutations in ERG11, a target enzyme of azoles, alter the binding ability of azoles to this enzyme and result in the development of resistant strains. In this study, we evaluated ERG11 mutations in f luconazole resistant isolates of C. albicans. Materials and methods. In this study, 60 clinical samples were isolated from Guilan hospitals. Then differential tests were used to identify C. albicans strains. Disc diffusion and MIC tests were used to the analyze f luconazole susceptibility. Then, the resistant isolates were evaluated by PCR and sequencing methods for ERG11 mutations. Results. Of 60 clinical samples, 40 C. albicans
