This is a monumental book—two volumes, three DVDs,
and 99 contributors. Could they not have squeezed another
one in? It is an American–Canadian undertaking put
together by three excellent pediatric plastic surgeons,
namely Doctors Bentz and Bauer from the Midwest and
Doctor Zuker from Ontario.
The editors have managed to assemble the crème de la crème
of the pediatric plastic surgery group. All aspects of the specialty
have been published in great detail and with outstanding clarity.

surgery book for many, many years to come.

Undoubtedly, the book represents many long hours of
work, frustration, and questioning the validity of the
enterprise. There is absolutely no question of the effort
being worthwhile. The end result speaks for itself.
I rarely “rave” about a book but I do not apologize for
doing so on this occasion. Every aspiring pediatric plastic
surgeon should save up his or her money and purchase it.
This is an investment that they will never regret!
Congratulations to the editors, the contributors, and
certainly last but not least, to Karen Berger and her staff
for producing such a beautiful book and continuing her
support of our specialty.
