Measurement of the aerodynamic forces on a small particle attached to a wall Using operating principles similar to that applied in atomic force microscopes, we have developed a novel measuring method to study the aerodynamic forces, in particular the lift and drag force, acting on a small particle attached to a wall and immersed in a linear shear flow. Abstract

Using operating principles similar to that applied in atomic force microscopes, we have developed a novel measuring method to study the aerodynamic forces, in particular the lift and drag force, acting on a small particle attached to a wall and immersed in a linear shear flow.
