Lightweight Vibropressed Material from Clay-Wood-Dust Mixes

Lightweight Vibropressed Material from Clay-Wood-Dust Mixes A technology for preparation of chamotte-free lightweight refractories from clay-wood-dust mixes combining grinding-mill and vibropressing techniques has been developed. An effective combustible additive with a particle shape factor of 1 – 2 is prepared. The technological parameters and physicomechanical properties of the newly developed refractory materials are determined and results of mathematical model simulations reported. Trial tests under industrial conditions have been conducted. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Refractories and Industrial Ceramics Springer Journals

Abstract

A technology for preparation of chamotte-free lightweight refractories from clay-wood-dust mixes combining grinding-mill and vibropressing techniques has been developed. An effective combustible additive with a particle shape factor of 1 – 2 is prepared. The technological parameters and physicomechanical properties of the newly developed refractory materials are determined and results of mathematical model simulations reported. Trial tests under industrial conditions have been conducted.
