Kinetics and Mechanism of Thermal Decomposition of a Mixture of Ammonium Nitrate and Pyroxylin The kinetics of heat release in thermal decomposition of a mixture of ammonium nitrate and pyroxylin was studied. To elucidate the mechanism of this process, the kinetics of heat release in oxidation of ammonium nitrate with nitrogen dioxide and of cellulose with a nitric acid solution was examined. The kinetic equations of the processes and the temperature dependence of the constants in these equations were established. Abstract

The kinetics of heat release in thermal decomposition of a mixture of ammonium nitrate and pyroxylin was studied.
