Inversion gas chromatography was used to determine at exceedingly low surface coverages the dispersive component of the surface free energy γ s d for various types of carbon blacks and their graphitized analogs. A comparative analysis of the values obtained for γ s d with published data on γ s d for other carbon materials (graphite, activated carbons, carbon nanomaterials) was made.
