ical articles, and reviews that are of interest to the
world's scientiﬁc community. Short communications,
comments on recently published papers, information
on scientiﬁc meetings, letters to the Editor, and book
reviews are also acceptable for publication. All papers
are examined by at least one reviewer. Acceptance is
based on the scientiﬁc merit and relevance of the pre-

Manuscripts should be written in English using
American spelling and thoroughly edited. General style
should be clear and concise. Special attention should be
paid to precise and consistent presentation of the mate-
rial. The paper should be signed by all authors. Papers
not meeting these requirements will be rejected or
returned for revision.
Each article should be submitted in duplicate.
Manuscripts should be typewritten on A4 paper and
double-spaced throughout, with 3-cm margins on all
four sides (no more than 1850 letters per page). The
total length of the manuscript, including abstract, refer-
ences, tables, and ﬁgure captions, should not exceed 18
pages for original articles and 36 pages for theoretical
articles and reviews. Size of ﬁgures (no more than six
per article) should not exceed a full A4 sheet. Longer
articles can be published as an exception depending on
the decision of the Editorial Board.
The title of the article should be concise and reﬂect
the aim and scope of the work. In the title, binomial
Latin names of organisms should be given in full and
according to the generally accepted taxonomic nomen-
clature. The title should be in lowercase without special
setting off or underlining.

case italics, also on a separate line.

Each table should be titled, typed in double
space on a separate page not exceeding page size. If the
article contains two or more tables, they should be
numbered consecutively using Arabic numerals.
Inscriptions in the ﬁgures should be kept to
a minimum. Use Arabic numerals or Latin letters to
identify special aspects of the ﬁgures, and provide a key
for them in the captions.
Illustrations (schemes, graphs, diagrams) are sub-
mitted in two copies; photographs, in three copies. One
copy of the photograph is submitted without any mark-
ing or lettering. Two other copies, if necessary, are used
for making montages and compositions with lettering
placed directly on the photograph with black ink. Pho-
tographs should be high-quality, sharp glossy prints;
brown or grainy prints are not accepted. Submit photo-
graphs in a separate envelope without attaching them to
