PERSONALIA In Celebration of the 70th Birthday of Igor G. Neizvestny entist, a manager, and an educator, he has been a suc- cess in ﬁelds as diverse as prioritizing lines of research, managing the construction of the research facility, pro- viding equipment for its laboratory and service units, selecting specialists, and placing them into a stimulat- ing environment. In 1970, he was awarded the Order of Red Banner of Labor for his outstanding contribution to the construction of a uniquely designed temperature- controlled building at ISP. Neizvestny has published more than 130 technical works. His activities in the physics of semiconductor surfaces and multilayer-heterostructure interfaces are widely appreciated. In 1995, Neizvestny and his associates were awarded the Russian Federation’s State Prize for Sci- ence and Technology for the discovery and the experi- mental and theoretical investigation of a new class of photosensitive semiconductor materials. Neizvestny is active in the editorial boards of tech- nical journals, scientiﬁc councils, and panels.
