Homogeneous oxidation of hydrogen selenide with ozone in an argon-oxygen medium Homogeneous oxidation of hydrogen selenide with ozone present in deficiency was studied. One of the reaction products is elemental selenium Se8, which can be formed by multistep radical-chain polycondensation of hydrogen selenide. One mole of ozone is consumed per mole of hydrogen selenide.
