Glucose Variability After Bariatric Surgery: Is Prediction of Diabetes Remission Possible? We aimed to corroborate glycemic control after bariatric surgery (BS) using continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) and analyze if data could predict long-term outcome. We evaluated 24 of our patients with type 2 diabetes who underwent BS (12 Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, RYGB, and 12 single-anastomosis duodeno-ileal bypass with sleeve gastrectomy, SADI-S) and who were in remission after 18–24 months’ follow-up. At this time, a CGM device was placed for 7 days. Patients were reevaluated thereafter for at least 5 years.
