The library was constructed in the vector Lambda-Zap, and the clone was subsequently obtained in the plasmid vector pBluescript SK by in vivo excision. Trivial name: Naringenin-chalcone synthase (CHS) from Chrysosplenium americanum. Description: The CHS clone is 1364 bp long. It has a 17 bp 5 UTR and a 156 bp 3 UTP. The 3 region contains a polyadenylation consensus signal AATAAA. The derived amino acid sequence exhibits 85% identity and 89% similarity with the naringinen-chalcone synthase clone from Vitis vinifera, as well as a high degree of similarity to clones isolated from many other species.
