Description: ITS region of ribosomal DNA lying between 16S and 25S rRNA genes was cloned from a wild species, Echinochloa crus-galli, with 207 bp in ITS1, 163 bp in 5.8S rRNA gene and 218 bp in ITS2. Nucleotide sequence of the ITS region in Echinochloa crus-galli shares 89.5%, 89.3% and 87.2% identity with Entolasia stricta, Panicum bisulcatum,and Imperata cylindrica, respectively.
