The polymorphic C677T and A1298C variants of the MTHFR gene are associated with hyperhomocysteinemia, which is a risk factor of early pregnancy loss. The aim of this study is analysis of genotypes and haplotypes of C677T and A1298C polymorphic variants of MTHFR genes in the groups of spontaneous abortions with normal karyotype and newborns in the Tomsk population. Between these groups, no statistically significant differences were determined in the allele, genotype, and haplotype distributions of C677T and A1298C polymorphisms of the MTHFR gene.
