Formation of properties of ceramics from MgO powders obtained with the use of cold isostatic... Results of a study of the effect of cold isostatic pressing (CIP) of granulated MgO powder under a pressure of 0.3 and 2.0 GPa on the properties of compacts and ceramics are presented. It is shown that the density and strength of the compacts are 65 and 80%, 10 and 55 MPa after CIP conducted at a pressure of 0.3 and 2.0 GPa, respectively. The ceramics was sintered at 1600‡C for 1,2,4, and 8 h. Abstract
