Highly selective refining of light vacuum gas oil by five-step countercurrent extraction of aromatic and heteroatomic compounds with N-methylpyrrolidone or dimethylacetamide in the presence of low-boiling nonpolar solvents was studied. The resulting refined oil can be used as high-quality raw material in hydrocracking and catalytic cracking.
