Processes occurring in mechanical activation of pure and mixed La(III), Nd(III), Er(III), Yb(III), and Y(III) oxides in air were studied. The influence exerted by the mechanical activation and by the accompanying absorption of atmospheric carbon dioxide on the selectivity of dissolution of components of mixed oxides in acid treatment were studied.
