Development of a Longitudinal Quality Improvement Curriculum Combining Workshops, Learning... With the mounting emphasis in the US healthcare system on patient safety and the quality of care provided, quality improvement (QI) education has become essential for medical trainees. QI education models vary among residency programs, yet there is currently no “gold standard.” Described here is a QI curriculum that is longitudinal, extending throughout residency, with repetitive yearly cycles of workshops, learning modules, and self-defined QI projects. Abstract

With the mounting emphasis in the US healthcare system on patient safety and the quality of care provided, quality improvement (QI) education has become essential for medical trainees.
