Specific features of cathodic deposition of nickel-boron coatings from a sulfuric acid electrolyte with addition of polyhedral boratesRussian Journal of Applied Chemistry, 81
It is advisable to use electrodeposited nickel-boron coatings to improve the corrosion resistance of the nickel coating on porous fibrous bases of tubular-plate nickel oxide electrodes of chemical power cells. It was found that a substantial nonuniformity of the current distribution and the coating thickness in deep and surface layers of the base is observed in nickel plating of bases of this kind. This nonuniformity leads to appearance of coating areas with different boron contents of the alloy and various corrosion resistances. Mathematical simulation methods were used to find the conditions in which coating of prescribed composition can be deposited with the maximum metal and boron distribution homogeneity in the alloy on geometrically complex porous bases
