The feasibility was studied for producing polymeric materials by high-temperature copolymerization of maleic acid with styrene distilation bottoms from joint production of styrene and propylene oxide. Regression equations were derived to predict the conditions for preparing the copolymer with the required properties. The structure, properties, and fields of possible application of the copolymer were studied.
