with Acrylamide Biuret Derivatives

Abstract—Copolymerization of acrylic acid with new acrylamide biuret derivatives obtained was investigated.
Reactivity ratios r
of these monomers with acrylic acid were calculated. It was found that monomers of
mono- and diacrylamide biuret derivatives are of cyclic structures and this fact speciﬁ cally affects their activity
in the copolymerization with acrylic acid.
There are many studies on the copolymers of acrylic
acid (AA) and acrylamide (AAm) and its derivatives,
among which copolymers described in [1–3] are of
particular interest. AA copolymers of applied importance
with AAm derivatives were studied in [4, 5]. Deriving

copolymers with AA. In this regard, acrylamide biuret
derivatives were derived. Biuret was synthesized by the
following reaction .
By reacting acrylamide with formaldehyde N-(hy-
droxymethyl)acrylamide was synthesized:
For different molar ratios in the reaction of N-(hy-
droxymethyl)acrylamide with biuret the compounds were
derived according Scheme 1.
