Composite powders for fabricating ceramics with pseudoeutectic structure in the ain-tin system A new process is suggested for manufacturing a composite powder material in the A1N — TiN system with submicron distribution of TiN grains. Parallel processes of physical breakup of liquid drops of metallic aluminum upon wetting the surface of titanium oxide grains, carbothermal reduction of titanium oxide to metallic titanium, and nitriding of aluminum and titanium particles in high-frequency heating are envisaged. Abstract

A new process is suggested for manufacturing a composite powder material in the A1N — TiN system with submicron distribution of TiN grains.
