CMOS-operational amplifier with n-channel output followers, increased gain, and short settling time

CMOS-operational amplifier with n-channel output followers, increased gain, and short settling time The completely differential cascode operational amplifier with a gain of 100 dB and small settling time of the output signal developed based on 0.18-μm CMOS process, the output cascades of which are fulfilled using n-channel source followers, is investigated. The operational amplifier is simulated in worst conditions at various bias current of the main and additional amplifiers. The minimal settling time of 4.5 ns is obtained at the consumed current of 8 mA. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Russian Microelectronics Springer Journals

Abstract

The completely differential cascode operational amplifier with a gain of 100 dB and small settling time of the output signal developed based on 0.18-μm CMOS process, the output cascades of which are fulfilled using n-channel source followers, is investigated. The operational amplifier is simulated in worst conditions at various bias current of the main and additional amplifiers. The minimal settling time of 4.5 ns is obtained at the consumed current of 8 mA.
