Carbon composites with multidimensional reinforcement as a new class of refractory construction... Lately carbon-carbon composites are finding increasingly wide application. They replace traditional construction graphite, since their mechanical strength is 5–10 times higher, the elasticity modulus 10–20 times higher, the coefficient of linear temperature expansion 2–3 times lower, corrosion resistance 1.5–2 times higher and, which is the most significant, their heat resistance is 5–10 times higher. Abstract

Lately carbon-carbon composites are finding increasingly wide application. They replace traditional construction graphite, since their mechanical strength is 5–10 times higher, the elasticity modulus 10–20 times higher, the coefficient of linear temperature expansion 2–3 times lower, corrosion resistance 1.5–2 times higher and, which is the most significant, their heat resistance is 5–10 times higher. None of the currently known thermal processes could destroy articles made of carbon-carbon composites with one to four-dimensional reinforcement.
