Aripiprazole/olanzapine Reactions 1680, p55 - 2 Dec 2017 Miscarriage: 19 case reports A study reviewing cases from the Japanese Adverse Drug Event Report (JADER) database identified 19 pregnant women who had miscarriage following treatment with aripiprazole (n=18) or olanzapine (n=1) [ages and routes not stated; not all indications and durations of treatments to reaction onset stated]. The women, who had schizophrenia (n=12), delusional perception and affect lability (n=1, each), received aripiprazole 3mg–30mg [frequency not stated] between 2006 and 2014, they had miscarriage between 2007 and 2014. One another woman received olanzapine [dosage not stated], who also had a miscarriage. Author comment: "In reports of miscarriage, aripiprazole was the suspected drug in 18 cases, risperidone in no cases, olanzapine in one case, and quetiapine in two cases." Sakai T, et al.
