Applied Aspects of Use of Amines
for the Production of Inorganic Salts
in Systems with Salting-out

Abstract—New methods of amines application in production processes of some inorganic substances are described; the
review of results of technological application of amines is cited, reactions in manufacturing some inorganic substances
with the use of amines in water-salt systems with salting-out are demonstrated; it is noted that the detailed description
of physicochemical conditions of each of these processes is based on the study of diagrams of the state of appropriate
multicomponent systems, and this description shouldl be subjected to individual consideration.
One of the most important constituents of chemical
industry is a large capacity productions of inorganic
substances, in particular, mineral fertilizers, soda, as well
as the range of other products of inorganic chemistry. The
consumption of these inorganic substances is measured
in millions tons per year. By assessment , the
demand of RF in mineral fertilizers for keeping balance
of evacuation-introduction of mineral substances
comtainng nitrogen fertilizers is 9 mln. tons per year,
phosphorous 2.5 mln. tons per year, and potassium
5 mln. tons per year; the demand in, for example, soda
can be measured by comparative values .
Taking into account the necessity in modernization of
industry in the country caused by objective necessities
of the shift of production to the sphere of complicate and
high technological ﬁ nal products, at existing economic
limitations in material (energy) and personnel resources
also necessary in these high technological spheres, the
reﬁ nement of production technologies of inorganic
substances are required in order to achieve waste-free
production as well as the decrease of the resource
capacity of these productions, namely, for the decrease
of energy consumption, capital intensity of technologies
at simultaneous decrease in both costs and labor for the
production of one unit of target product.
The achievement of waste-free production is the
main condition providing the possibility of the existence
of industrial production in unlimited period of time
at saving the quality of the environment (ecological
biosphere equilibrium ).
The description of the general approach of designing
a waste-free and energy-saving technologies of
production of a range of inorganic substances is the
basis for future development of the chemical industry
in the country.
We present a review of some Russian and foreign
investigations relating to the creation of production
processes for inorganic substances in water-salt systems
with salting-out with amines; the production of soda and
some fertilizers is considered.
2. PARTICULARITIES OF SODA PRODUCTION
One of the promising ways of the use of amines
is the production of soda allowing the increase in the
environmental safety of the process. The production
of soda by Leblanc method in its prime was waste-free
