Stephanie M. Le Melle, M.D., is a 1993 graduate of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. She served as resident and chief resident in psychiatry at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital and the New York State Psychiatric Institute, followed by a public psychiatry fel- lowship there. Presently, Dr. Le Melle is Assistant Director for the Washington Heights Community Services at the Psychiatric Institute and Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Columbia Univer- sity College of Physicians and Surgeons. She is involved with the Na- tional Alliance for the Mentally Ill, and has special interests in legal advocacy, mandated community treatment, social skills training, and the severely mentally ill. She currently serves on the Annual Meet- ing Scientiﬁc Program Committee of the American Psychiatric Association. Raul R. Silva, M.D., is Deputy Director of the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Associate Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at the New York University School of Medicine in
