A compound study of the structure of a hardened chamotte/liquid glass composition is conducted using x-ray and differential thermal analysis, which gives a quite full picture of the phase composition of the object studied and the changes it undergoes in heating. An electron-microscopic study of the structure of a lightweight material after operation showed the presence of numerous round closed pores in its microstructure. The thermomechanical and thermophysical properties of articles and their optimum composition are determined. Recommendations are given on the design of a production line.
