This reaction benefits from simple, inexpensive, and straightforward procedure, an environmental friendly method, and high yields. ILs are categorized in a wide range such as acidic ILs, basic ILs, metal-containing ILs, guanidinium ILs, chiral-ILs, and ILs containing -OH groups [2]. In particular, Brønsted acidic ILs, which act similar to Brønsted acids, are simply formed via acid–base and nucleophilic reactions.
