Due to the expiration of the term of appointment (1995-1999), the Bureau of General Biology Department of the Russian Academy of Sciences passed a resolution on June 16, 1999, to confirm a new editorial board for the journal Biologiya Morya (the Russian Journal of Marine Biology).
