A Comparison of Cytochemical Methods for the Rapid Evaluation of Microalgal Viability We compared various rapid methods for the evaluation of cell viability of 30 algal strains from 15 genera using dyes for both light and fluorescence microscopy. Algal strains demonstrated considerable staining specificity. Abstract

We compared various rapid methods for the evaluation of cell viability of 30 algal strains from 15 genera using dyes for both light and fluorescence microscopy. Algal strains demonstrated considerable staining specificity.
