25th Anniversary of the Institute of Technical Chemistry,
Ural Division, Russian Academy of Sciences
The 25th anniversary of the Institute of Technical
Chemistry, Ural Division, Russian Academy of Sci-
ences fell on January 1, 2010. In the course of these 25
years alongside a large amount of scientifi c research
was fulfi lled the construction of complex of buildings
and installations of the Institute, the laboratories were
equipped with modern instruments. Nowadays the the
Institute of Technical Chemistry, Ural Division, Rus-
sian Academy of Sciences contains seven laboratories
and one group of processes implementation, the over-
all staff is 120 persons.
Among the researchers 12 Doctors and 35 Candi-
dates of Sciences are working. In the Institute two Dis-
sertation Councils are operating for awarding the degree
of Doctor and Candidate of Sciences in four specialties.
The research in the Institute is carried out in two main
directions: development of materials based on organic
polymers and inorganic compounds with the complex of
desired structure and physicochemical and mechanical
properties; development of the theory of chemical struc-
ture and methods of synthesis of organic compounds, in
particular, possessing a biological activity.
In recent years the researchers of the Institute of
Technical Chemistry obtained essentially new results.
Proceeding from the governing role of nanoparticles in
the formation of the functional properties of polymer
materials were developed theoretical, experimental, and
methodological bases for preparation of energy-rich
condensed systems with the desired complex of proper-

polymers was found with the reverse dependence of the
