Nach Implantation von Schrittmachern ist immer wieder die Entwicklung von schweren Abszessen durch über lange Zeiträume verlaufende, subakute und lokal beschränkte Infektionen zu beobachten. Im vorliegenden Fall wurde ein Patient nach mehrfacher Revision einer Schrittmachertasche an unser Haus zur weiteren Behandlung einer infizierten Schrittmachertasche überwiesen. Aufgrund der erheblichen Abszessgröße und der dadurch verursachten Weichteilzerstörung war eine mehrstufige lokale Sanierung der Befunde mit Hilfe einer Vakuumversiegelung notwendig.
