Treatment implications of behavioral and psychologic research on premature ejaculation

Treatment implications of behavioral and psychologic research on premature ejaculation In a recent article in this journal, we presented a summary of findings on behavioral and psychologic models in ejaculatory function research and discussed how these processes are dynamically and inextricably intertwined with the physiologic aspects of premature ejaculation. Based on those findings, especially in the behavioral and psychologic domains, this article presents the implications for assessment and treatment, including a multipronged approach for the remediation of premature ejaculation. Two major continua, severity of the disorder and intensity of the treatment, are integrated in this approach, along with their possible combination with use of medication. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Current Sexual Health Reports Springer Journals

Abstract

In a recent article in this journal, we presented a summary of findings on behavioral and psychologic models in ejaculatory function research and discussed how these processes are dynamically and inextricably intertwined with the physiologic aspects of premature ejaculation.
