Roberts Received: 29 November 2018 /Accepted: 3 December 2018 /Published online: 10 December 2018 Academic Psychiatry 2018 The lack of access to mental health services in the USA is a clear 27 million Americans (2.2 per 100,000), in comparison to 612 cause for concern for psychiatric educators. As reviewed by psychiatrists per 100,000 people in New York. At the lowest Fortney et al. [1], the problem is so severe that most individuals end of the range, there is only 1 psychiatrist per 100,000 with a current mental health disorder residing in the USA do not people in rural Idaho. While almost 8.7% of the US population receive necessary specialty services. Inadequately treated mental lives in rural counties, just 1.6% of US psychiatrists practice in health disorders, moreover, account for approximately one- those same areas.
