Preference studies are of value to the field of sexual medicine: Pro

Preference studies are of value to the field of sexual medicine: Pro Well-designed, unbiased comparison studies that reveal a patient’s preference for one drug over another are of significant value and should be welcomed by patients and physicians alike. In addition to clarifying our understanding of the factors that determine a patient’s preference, these studies simplify the decision-making process and enable physicians to prescribe the optimal medication for each patient on the first attempt. This improves patient satisfaction and limits inconvenient and costly repeat physician visits. Preference studies in the field of sexual medicine are no different from studies in other classes of medications and should be embraced by our field. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Current Sexual Health Reports Springer Journals

Abstract

Well-designed, unbiased comparison studies that reveal a patient’s preference for one drug over another are of significant value and should be welcomed by patients and physicians alike.
