In this investigation, we have carried out the modeling of light guide boards that were able to operate effectively as a photocatalysts. Two different types of guide boards were developed: one made of a UV-transparent acrylic board with V-shaped grooves on both sides, and the other made of a similar acrylic board with a dot pattern silkscreen-printed on one side. Light beam simulations were conducted on these boards and prototypes were designed and constructed based on the modeling. Our studies have shown both these prototypes to be effective for use as a photocatalytic deodorizing system.
