A definite diagnosis was made by radiological examination. Several reports have appeared in the literature concerning the importance of MRI as a new imaging modality in the diseases of the spine, including spondylodiscitis. In the present report we discuss the potential role of MRI in early diagnosis of spondylodiscitis in childhood.
