Effect of boundary conditions on superfluid helium films below 0.5 K

Effect of boundary conditions on superfluid helium films below 0.5 K The recent theoretical work of Haug on finite size effects in superfluid helium films at low temperatures is extended to a variety of boundary conditions that can be imposed on the system. Comparison with experiment suggests that Neumann boundary conditions might be the most appropriate ones for the system in question. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Journal of Low Temperature Physics Springer Journals

Abstract

The recent theoretical work of Haug on finite size effects in superfluid helium films at low temperatures is extended to a variety of boundary conditions that can be imposed on the system. Comparison with experiment suggests that Neumann boundary conditions might be the most appropriate ones for the system in question.
