Report 9: Impact of non-pharmaceutical interventions (NPIs) to reduce COVID19 mortality and healthcare demand
[Model-based human systems integration (MBHSI) extends model-based systems engineering (MBSE) by integrating virtual HCD together with the agile tangibilization of systems being developed (Boy in The handbook of model-based systems engineering. Springer, USA, 2021). This chapter presents various facets of flexibility offered by MBHSI. Complex systems deal with three kinds of issues and processes: situational awareness, embodiment and familiarity. Models can be predictive and/or knowledge based. When the complexity that they represent is put at work, it contributes to the generation of emergent behavior and properties, translated into emergent functions and structures, which are useful in agile development processes. Any sociotechnical complex system is a learning system that belongs to a class of systemic interactive models (SIM). This chapter provides an experience-driven modeling approach.]
