Cryptanalysis of an inter-bank E-payment protocol
based on quantum proxy blind signature

Abstract We analyze the security of an inter-bank E-payment protocol based on
quantum proxy blind signature, and ﬁnd that there is a security leak in the quantum
channels of this protocol, which gives a chance for an outside opponent to launch a
special denial-of-service attack. Furthermore, we show that the dishonest merchant
can succeed to change the purchase information of the customer in this protocol.

With the rapid development of computer technology and Internet, E-commerce plays
an important role in modern society. The key of E-commerce is choosing an appropri-
ate E-payment system . However, the security of traditional E-payment systems is
generally based on the computational complexity problem, which will be broken with
the increasing computing power.
Fortunately, quantum cryptography is based on modern cryptography and quan-
tum physics, which realizes cryptographic ideas and operations by quantum physics.
Despite of the computational ability of the opponent, the security of quantum cryp-
tosystems is only guaranteed by the fundamental principles of quantum mechanics.
Therefore, quantum cryptography has native advantage in the sense of security and it
