Comments on multidetermination of PCBs and pesticides by use of a dual GC column-dual detector systems by J. L. Bernal et al., chromatographia, vol. 33, (1992) pp. 67–76

Comments on multidetermination of PCBs and pesticides by use of a dual GC column-dual detector... From the above we think that we may have clarified some aspects that at first sight could lead to misunderstandings in the paper. We want to emphasize, however, that it was never mentioned in the paper that the GC multiresidue system is an alternative to HPLC in the study of thermally-labile compounds. We have tried to show how a good knowledge of the behaviour of different compounds in a multiresidue system can be useful as a quick screening of the sample to save further time and effort. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Chromatographia Springer Journals

Abstract

From the above we think that we may have clarified some aspects that at first sight could lead to misunderstandings in the paper. We want to emphasize, however, that it was never mentioned in the paper that the GC multiresidue system is an alternative to HPLC in the study of thermally-labile compounds. We have tried to show how a good knowledge of the behaviour of different compounds in a multiresidue system can be useful as a quick screening of the sample to save further time and effort.
