The functional dependence of the values of the terms and ionization potentials of atoms and/or dimers on the information-energy codes of photons interacting with matter is revealed on the basis of absorption spectra, which characterize the physicochemical properties of matter and represent information of a related type determined by self-consistent codes of the source and receiver of information. The tangential function for the systematization of electronic terms in the informational model of quantization (IMQ) has shown the periodic nature of the functions with self-consistency of the photon codes with the codes of atoms in the Periodic Table of Elements. A hypothesis has been proposed about the “subjective” interaction of a photon with matter; an approximation of the ionization potentials of atoms was carried out on the basis of a unified criterion. Extrapolation of the terms and ionization potentials of dimers showed that all the terms observed in absorption fit into series similar to Rydberg terms, and taking the multiplicity into account, certain of their sums form series with different regression coefficients characterizing the intemers (possible valences of dimers). The information component of the interaction of light and matter has revealed real prospects for the development of a new theory of quantum optics and the systematization of large spectroscopy databases.
