[Together we have embarked on a quest to make quality wine. Our journey followed a path of organized and systematic steps, recognizing the road to making quality wine, every time, is truly complex. Our approach navigated the maze of possible problems. There are many variables and conditions that will create quality problems that every grape grower or winemaker will face at some point in their careers. This myriad of possibilities was parsed into six categories. Our investigations and systematic problem-solving methods were based upon proven rational approaches applied to the theory and practice of growing grapes and making wine. Table 9.1 is a summary of applied methods and some of their respective features and benefits.]
